About this list

Several Wrocław kindergartens include chess in their week, open only to the children enrolled there. Kraina Szachów, the chess school in Gaj, teaches weekly classes of twenty or thirty minutes at Przedszkole Wesołe Nutki, the public kindergarten Ul, Stumilowy Gaj and the Cogito and Magellan kindergartens. At Ul, Cogito and Magellan the groups are for five- and six-year-olds, and the school’s programme page gives monthly fees for three of the kindergartens.

Since September 2026 KS Polonia has also run its Szachy od Zera programme at Przedszkole Wrocławskie Skauty IV, paid for by sponsors so that the kindergarten pays nothing. Places are arranged through the kindergarten or the chess school.
